Important: This Action is Permanent
Deleting your account will permanently remove:
- Your user profile and account information
- All chat history and conversation data
- PERMA wellbeing scores and tracking history
- Emotion detection history and patterns
- Video viewing history and preferences
- Personalization settings and learned preferences
This action cannot be undone.
How to Request Account Deletion
Method 1: In-App Deletion RECOMMENDED
Delete your account directly from the Aigen Happy mobile app:
- Open the Aigen Happy app
- Go to Profile tab
- Tap Settings
- Scroll to Account Management
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm your decision
Processing time: Immediate (data deletion within 30 days)
Method 2: Email Request
If you cannot access the app, send an email request:
Send Deletion RequestInclude in your email:
- Email address associated with your account
- User ID (if known - found in app settings)
- Reason for deletion (optional, helps us improve)

Processing time: We'll respond within 3 business days and complete deletion within 30 days
What Happens After You Request Deletion?
Immediately
Your account is deactivated and you cannot log in
Within 24 hours
Active chat sessions are terminated
Within 7 days
Personalization data and conversation history are deleted
Within 30 days
All data is permanently removed from our systems (including backups)
Data That May Be Retained
For legal and security reasons, we may retain certain data:
- Transaction records: For tax and accounting compliance (anonymized)
- Legal hold data: If required by law enforcement or ongoing legal matters
- Aggregated analytics: Anonymous, non-identifiable usage statistics
- Fraud prevention: Hashed identifiers to prevent abuse
Retained data cannot be used to identify you personally.
Alternatives to Account Deletion
If you're concerned about privacy but don't want to delete your account, consider:
- Clear chat history: Settings → Privacy → Delete Chat History
- Disable emotion detection: Settings → Privacy → Emotion Detection
- Disable proactive check-ins: Settings → Notifications → Interventions
- Download your data: Settings → Privacy → Export My Data
- Pause your account: Temporarily deactivate without deleting
